Another benefit is the item sharing system, allowing you to swap gear with anyone in your group. It will take a look at how loot sharing works, how to swap items with other players, and which items can be swapped.

Follow Polygon online:

This means that different members of a squad will receive different loot from the same mission, which can be frustrating if you end up earning gear that you have no use for. The team over at Massive thought about this though, adding in an item swapping system, which we will detail below:. In order to swap items in The Division 2, you first need to be in a group.

This is the main caveat of being able to trade loot, in that you cannot just walk up to another player and trade gear. There are some important restrictions that apply to which loot you can trade in The Division 2. You can only trade items that you have collected while in a group, for a maximum of one hour.

This will bring up the item options menu. You can then select share, which will drop the item on the ground. What are your views on having some sort of player trading system within The Division 2? It could also be something that could complement any microtransaction offerings a la shark cards in GTA, platinum in WF, etc. Here are some preliminary possible ideas: 1. Phoenix Credits could be the de facto currency for trading.

Item-for-item trading might be done as well. Prices could be determined by the playerbase. There could be trading stations in each safehouse. To clarify: I'm not advocating for pay-to-win. Trading should only be done for items that players farm for and which drop from regular gameplay. There will always be players that will grind everything ad nauseam and will be decked on the first week, and that's the reality.

On the flip side, there will always be players looking to avoid the grind who are willing to pay to get the loot they need. I bolded "if done properly" because I believe this could be key for a longevous playerbase and in turn could be greatly beneficial to the game in general Reply Share this post.

We already have trading!! I pick up an item, go to a message board saying i have this item, wait 45 minutes for someone to respond, wait another 10 minutes for them to log in as The Division takes 3 and half years to load up, then i let them rape me in the DZ. Then they go to extract and get murdered by a 4 man, i have to come in and murder those guys to get the item back, go rogue again so i can drop the item again and then we finally extract.

Not really sure how we can improve on that method. I don't think letting the playerbase control the market is a good idea.

It will lead to an economy based game where everything will be focussed on trading, and making money. Gameplay will come second, and I don't like that. Originally Posted by vvhorus Go to original post.
